| Hi
again everyone,
Seems like the end of the year is always filled with so
much activity. Quite a bit to tell you about for November
and a bit in December. Here are some of these things:

^ First off, I will be part
of a shared exhibit titled Into the Mystic at
Gallery1988 in San Francisco. It'll feature my new work
(shown above) alongside Jeremiah Ketner, Jonathan Bergeron
aka Johnny Crap, and Ken Keirns. As I spent the past few
months working on this body, a story begun to unveil itself
with each new piece. The further I got, the more the story
deepened. Now, it's overtaken my mind and will spill over
into upcoming events, the majority of it appearing in
my April 2010 solo exhibit. Here is the basic idea of
the story so far, but it really thickens further down:
I've imagined an environment where the plant-life
of our world has been altered. Forcing the balance between
them and all other inhabitants to be diminished. These
organic life-forms that emerge from the ground interweave
with the entities that walk our planet. All who breath
in air inhale the pollen that moves with the winds. Roots,
vines and seeds meld with muscle, blood and bones. The
earth is carpeted in an abundance of plants in bloom,
each sprouting fresh intelligent beings. The vegetation
that has long been deprived and neglected has forged a
way to reclaim all that was once their own. –
It continues with all sorts of crazy thoughts as I delve
deeper.
So please come out if you are in and around San Francisco.
I'll be at the opening and I believe the other three artists
will be there too.

Also, opening on the same night as the San Francisco show

planet in Berlin, Germany at Strychnin Gallery. It'll
feature work from an amazing lineup of over twenty artists,
plus there will be an exclusive poster show and book release
party for Mark Ryden 's latest edition of his book Fushigi
Circus. Wish I could be at two places at once. My
two paintings above will be available.

I recently completed a customized figure for the traveling
group show Natural Resources,
hosted by Shoparooni in Cleveland, OH and Bigshot Toyworks.
More than 40 artists have customized Mike Burnett's "Neighborwood"
and brand-new "Average Joe Schmoe" wooden DIY
figures for the traveling exhibit that opened Friday,
November 6th in the Shoparooni Annex Gallery in Cleveland,
Ohio. The exhibit will run from November 6th, 2009 until
December 5th, 2009. Keep posted with Shoparooni
to see next dates, locations and added artist.

Oh yeah, I've been posting some smaller originals up at
the web shop,
so please visit and see if anything interests you. I'll
continue to post up the small ones once they become available.
That's all for now! I have a few little things coming
up soon, but will mostly be focused on producing some
larger works for the April solo show. Until next time,
take care out there and have a great November.
Thank you all very much for your interest and support!
All the best,
